Are OSRS Bonds Worth It in 2026? Bonds vs Buying OSRS Gold

Are OSRS Bonds Worth It in 2026? Bonds vs Buying Gold Explained

OSRS bonds are one of the safest ways to buy GP in Old School RuneScape. But are they actually worth the price?

That’s where a lot of players start questioning things.

Bonds are fully supported by Jagex, completely legal, and impossible to get banned for using properly. The problem is the value you get for your money is honestly pretty bad compared to how expensive bonds have become.

For newer players, bonds can feel amazing at first. You instantly skip early grinding and can afford decent gear, supplies, quest items, and skilling materials. But once you start getting into higher-level PvM or expensive setups, bond prices start feeling brutal very quickly.

In this guide, we’ll break down how OSRS bonds work, how much they cost, why players buy them, why some players buy gold instead, and the risks involved with both options.

What Are OSRS Bonds?

OSRS bonds are items sold directly by Jagex for real money. Players can redeem them for membership or sell them on the Grand Exchange for GP.

Each bond gives 14 days of membership when redeemed, but a lot of players buy them specifically to convert into gold.

This is basically Jagex’s official system for buying GP legally. Instead of risking account bans through third-party sites, players can safely purchase bonds and sell them for gold in-game.

That safety is the main reason bonds remain popular...

OSRS Strength training guide showing a player training melee combat

Fastest Way to Get 1–99 Strength in OSRS

Strength is one of the most important combat skills in Old School RuneScape. Increasing your Strength level raises your maximum melee hit, allowing you to deal more damage and defeat enemies faster.

For most melee-focused accounts, Strength is worth prioritizing because higher damage can improve both combat XP rates and PvM efficiency.

This guide walks you step by step from level 1 all the way to 99 Strength using efficient training methods.

Why Strength Is Worth Training

Higher max hits

Increasing Strength allows your melee attacks to deal more damage.

Faster combat training

Higher damage generally means faster kills and better combat XP rates.

Important for PvM

Strength is useful throughout Slayer, bossing, raids, and general melee combat.

Useful for PvP

Many PvP account builds prioritize Strength because of its effect on maximum hits.

Levels 1–20: Beginner Strength Training

Method: Low-Level Monsters

Start by training against easy enemies with low Defence and Hitpoints.

Good options include:

-Chickens

-Cows

-Goblins

-Monks

Use the best Strength-training weapon available for your Attack level.

At these levels, progression is extremely fast, so there is little reason to spend much time optimizing your setup.

Levels 20–40: Early Strength Training

Method: Low-Defence Monsters

Good options include:...

OSRS Money Making: Easy & Fast Methods (2026)

OSRS Money Making Methods - Easy

Let's be honest - we all need OSRS Gold. Whether you're out for that twisted bow, or even a dragon scimitar, a few extra GP wouldn't be that bad. However, with a game like Runescape, and the plethora of things to do, finding a viable money-making method can be quite intimidating. Luckily, at PartyPeteShop, we've brought you our favorite consistent, relatively low-medium level money makers for Runescape. Try them all and find which one works for you!

Killing Ankous - 140k/h

Requirements: Combat stats to kill multiple level 75s.

OSRS Money Making: Easy & Fast Methods (2026) OSRS Money Making: Easy & Fast Methods (2026) Ask any slayer expert, Ankous are absolutely amazing money and exp for such an easy monster. For this Runescape money making method, you'll simply need some extremely basic combat equipment to kill these level 75s (trust me - they're really weak!), and some food. Quick tip -since Ankous are weak to melee, we suggest bringing melee equipment.

Once you've got everything, it's time to head to Barbarian Village. More specifically, you'll need to go down to the Stronghold of Security, using the hole as shown on the map. Navigating through the mazes of each level, you'll find yourself on the bottom floor, the “Sepulchre of Death” floor. And as shown...

New to OSRS? Here’s the Best Way to Start in 2026

New to OSRS? Here’s the Best Way to Start in 2026

Starting Old School RuneScape for the first time can honestly feel overwhelming.

There are hundreds of quests, skills, bosses, items, and money makers to learn. Unlike most modern games, OSRS does not really hold your hand or tell you exactly what to do next.

That freedom is part of what makes the game so fun, but it can also confuse newer players.

If you’re starting OSRS in 2026, this guide will help you avoid common beginner mistakes and show you the best way to progress your account early on.

Why OSRS Still Has So Many Players

Even after all these years, Old School RuneScape continues to attract massive numbers of players every day.

One reason is because no two accounts progress the exact same way.

Some players focus on:

- PvM and bossing

- Skilling

- Questing

- Flipping

- Raids

- PvP

- Collection logs

- Ironman mode

OSRS gives players a huge amount of freedom compared to many other MMORPGs.

That’s one reason people keep coming back to it year after year.

Focus on Quests Early

One of the biggest mistakes newer players make is ignoring quests.

Quests unlock huge parts of the game and save countless hours of grinding later on.

Some early quests worth focusing on include:

- Waterfall Quest

- Witch’s House

- Fight Arena

- Tree Gnome Village

- The Grand Tree

- Priest in Peril

Many quests provide massive XP...

Rarest Items in Oldschool Runescape (Updated List)

Rarest Items in OSRS (2026 Guide)

Old School RuneScape has thousands of items, but only a handful are considered truly rare.

Some are worth billions of GP. Others cannot even be traded anymore. A few are so uncommon that most players will never see them in-game.

Whether it’s discontinued holiday items, insanely rare PvM drops, or prestigious cosmetic rewards, these are some of the rarest and most iconic items in OSRS today.

Twisted Bow

The Twisted Bow is one of the most famous and expensive weapons in the game.

It comes from the Chambers of Xeric raid and has an extremely low drop rate. Its passive effect scales damage based on the enemy’s Magic level, making it one of the strongest PvM weapons in OSRS.

Why it’s rare:

- Extremely rare raid drop

- Huge demand from PvM players

- Worth billions of GP

- Considered a dream item for many players

Many players grind hundreds of raids without ever seeing one.

3rd Age Armor

3rd Age items are among the rarest tradeable items in OSRS.

They only come from elite, master, and mimic clue scroll rewards, making them unbelievably uncommon.

Some pieces are worth max cash or more because of how few exist.

Popular rare 3rd Age items include:

- 3rd Age Pickaxe

- 3rd Age Druidic Robes

- 3rd Age Bow

- 3rd Age Axe

- 3rd Age Melee Armor

Most players will never receive one naturally.

Elysian Spirit Shield

The Elysian Spirit Shield is one of...

OSRS Boss Progression Guide

OSRS Boss Progression Guide

OSRS Boss Progression Guide

Bossing is one of the biggest parts of Old School RuneScape.

It can also be intimidating when you're just getting started.

OSRS has bosses ranging from extremely simple encounters to some of the hardest PvM challenges in the game. Trying to jump directly into difficult content without learning the basics can make bossing feel much harder than it actually is.

The better approach is to progress gradually.

Start with bosses that teach basic mechanics, improve your combat stats and gear, and then move into increasingly difficult encounters.

This OSRS boss progression guide will help you figure out where to start and what to work toward next.

When Should You Start Bossing in OSRS?

You don't need max combat stats to start bossing.

Some bosses are specifically designed to be accessible to lower-level players.

Before starting, however, it helps to have:

-Decent combat stats

-Basic melee, Ranged, and Magic equipment

-Prayer unlocked and trained

-Good food

-Combat potions

-Teleport options

-Some spare GP for supplies

Your first goal shouldn't necessarily be making huge amounts of GP.

It should be learning how PvM works.

Stage 1: Beginner Bosses

Beginner bosses are perfect for learning the fundamentals.

At this stage, you want encounters that let you practice attacking, eating, using Prayer, switching equipment, and reacting to mechanics without being punished too heavily for...

OSRS Gear Progression Guide

OSRS gear progression guide showing melee, ranged, and magic equipment upgrades

OSRS Gear Progression Guide

Gear progression in Old School RuneScape can get confusing fast.

There are hundreds of weapons, armor pieces, accessories, and upgrades available, but buying the most expensive item you can afford isn't always the smartest move.

A good gear progression focuses on upgrades that give you the biggest improvement for your GP.

This guide breaks down OSRS gear progression from early game all the way to endgame equipment, including melee, ranged, and magic.

How Gear Progression Works in OSRS

Unlike many games, OSRS doesn't have one simple equipment path.

The gear you should use depends on:

-Your combat stats

-Your available GP

-The content you're doing

-Your combat style

-Quest and achievement requirements

-Whether you're training or doing PvM

You also shouldn't spend your entire bank on one small upgrade.

Building a balanced setup is usually much more useful.

Early Game Gear Progression

Early-game players should focus on inexpensive equipment that can carry them through quests, Slayer, and basic combat training.

You don't need millions of GP to build a useful setup.

Melee

A typical early melee progression looks something like:

-Iron equipment

-Steel equipment

-Black equipment

-Mithril equipment

-Adamant equipment

-Rune equipment

-Dragon equipment

Rune equipment is one of the first major milestones for many accounts.

Once you reach the required stats and complete...
