RuneScape is getting a fresh start, and Jagex is calling it RuneScape Reignited.
This new experience aims to bring back the excitement of starting RuneScape from scratch, with a fresh economy, new highscores, and world-first achievements waiting to be claimed.
But does this mean everyone's RuneScape account is getting reset?
Not quite.
RuneScape Reignited was originally announced as a permanent new character type within RuneScape 3.
Instead of replacing the existing game, it would allow players to create a new character and experience Gielinor from the beginning.
Here's what Jagex initially announced:
- Fresh Economy: A completely new economy where players build their wealth from scratch.
- New Highscores: Everyone starts fresh and competes for the top rankings.
- World Firsts: Players can compete to become the first to complete major achievements.
- No Paid Progression: Reignited characters won't have access to pay-to-win progression.
- Remastered Content: Updated graphics, gameplay improvements, and a better experience for new players.
- Permanent Characters: Reignited is designed to be a lasting experience rather than a temporary event.
No. Jagex has not announced any plans to wipe existing RuneScape accounts.
Players who have spent years training skills, completing quests...

It's official.
The Grand Exchange can now handle trades above the old 2.147 billion GP max cash limit.
For years, max cash was one of the biggest limitations of the Grand Exchange. It didn't matter how much an item was actually worth. If its value went beyond 2,147,483,647 GP, you couldn't simply buy or sell it through the GE.
That meant some of the rarest items in OSRS had to be traded directly between players.
With the Beyond Max Cash update now live, that's finally changed.
Players can place Grand Exchange offers worth far more than 2.147 billion GP using a combination of Coins and Platinum tokens.
The old Grand Exchange limit was 2,147,483,647 GP.
For most of OSRS history, that wasn't much of a problem.
Very few items were worth anywhere near that amount.
But as the economy grew and certain rare items became increasingly valuable, some eventually pushed far beyond max cash.
This was especially noticeable with ultra-rare Third Age items.
You can now enter Grand Exchange offers above 2.147 billion GP just like any other offer.
When the trade completes, the Grand Exchange automatically uses the required combination of Coins and Platinum tokens from your inventory.
You don't need to manually convert everything beforehand.
The important thing to remember is that individual item...

OSRS is getting its fourth raid, The Fractured Archive. Unlike Tombs of Amascut, Raids 4 is being designed as a challenging boss-focused raid with less emphasis on puzzles and more on pure PvM.
Here’s a quick look at what we know so far.
The Fractured Archive is the fourth major raid in Old School RuneScape, following:
* Chambers of Xeric
* Theatre of Blood
* Tombs of Amascut
The raid is themed around Guthix and an archive containing ancient knowledge and powerful artifacts collected throughout Gielinor.
Jagex has described Raids 4 as a boss-rush style raid, meaning the focus will be on fighting difficult bosses rather than completing lengthy puzzle rooms between encounters.
The raid is planned to support groups of up to eight players, while experienced players will also be able to attempt it solo.
Jagex has positioned The Fractured Archive as an extremely challenging piece of endgame PvM content, so players should expect difficult mechanics and encounters.
If you want to prepare your account before release, check out our OSRS Boosting Services.
The Fractured Archive is currently planned for Winter 2026. It will arrive more than four years after Tombs of Amascut, which was released in...

Flipping is one of the easiest ways to make GP in Old School RuneScape without grinding bosses or skilling for hours.
The idea is simple:
Buy items low, sell them higher, and profit from the price difference.
Some players make millions daily just standing at the Grand Exchange.
The key is choosing the right items.
Some items flip slowly with huge margins, while others move quickly with smaller profits. In this guide, we’ll cover some of the best flipping items in OSRS right now and how to flip safely without losing money.
Good flipping items usually have:
* High daily trade volume
* Constant player demand
* Price movement throughout the day
* Stable buy/sell activity
Avoid items that barely trade because you can get stuck holding them for hours or days.
The best flips are items players constantly buy for PvM, skilling, or gear upgrades.
Runes are one of the safest flipping categories in the game.
Popular choices include:
* Blood runes
* Death runes
* Soul runes
* Nature runes
Margins are usually small, but they trade extremely fast because players constantly use them for magic training and PvM.
Rune flipping is ideal for beginners.
Dragon ammunition has solid demand from PvM players.
Examples include:
* Dragon darts
* Dragon arrows
* Dragon bolts
These items often move quickly and can generate steady profits throughout the...

Buying OSRS gold online isn't difficult. Finding a gold site you can actually trust is the harder part.
There are dozens of RuneScape gold websites offering similar prices, fast delivery claims, and 24/7 service. But price alone doesn't tell you whether a site is reliable.
PartyPeteShop has been around since 2011, so how does it compare to other OSRS gold sites?
Here's what players should look at before choosing where to buy.
The biggest differences between gold sites usually come down to:
* Reputation
* Delivery speed
* Gold prices
* Payment methods
* Customer support
* Account safety
* Order history
A site being slightly cheaper doesn't necessarily make it the better option.
When you're trusting a website with your money and RuneScape account information, reputation matters.
One of the biggest differences with PartyPeteShop is how long we've been operating.
PartyPeteShop has been serving RuneScape players since 2011 and has completed more than 150,000 orders.
Many gold-selling websites appear, disappear, rebrand, or change ownership over time.
A long operating history gives customers much more information to judge a company by compared to a brand-new website with little history.
Reviews are one of the first things you should check before buying OSRS gold.
PartyPeteShop has accumulated more than 30,000 customer reviews...

Cooking is one of the fastest and easiest skills to train in Old School RuneScape. It requires very little effort, has simple mechanics, and can be done almost anywhere. Whether you want the fastest possible experience or prefer to save money while training, there are multiple paths to 99.

Barbarian Village
Why this works
You can fish and cook in the same area which makes this method simple and cheap...

If you’re new to Old School RuneScape, making gold early on can feel slow. Most high-profit methods are locked behind higher levels, quests, or expensive gear, but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck broke. There are still plenty of solid money making methods under level 50 that can build you a decent cash stack fast if you know where to look.
Here are some of the best methods that actually work in 2026.
This might sound basic, but it still works. Cows drop cowhides and raw beef, both of which sell consistently since players use them for crafting and cooking. You can stay here at very low combat levels and stack up gold quickly.
GP per hour: ~50k–100k
Requirements: None
If you want to take cow farming a step further, you can tan the hides yourself. Buy or collect cowhides, take them to a tanner, and then sell the leather for higher profit. This is one of the first methods that starts to feel like real money early game.
GP per hour: ~100k–200k
Requirements: Small starting cash
Feathers are always in demand because they are used for both fletching and fishing. Killing chickens and collecting feathers and raw chicken can add up surprisingly fast for a low level method.
GP per hour: ~50k–120k
Requirements: None

High Level Alchemy is one of the most popular ways to train Magic in Old School RuneScape while recovering some of the cost of training or even making a profit.
Instead of simply spending GP for Magic XP, High Alchemy converts items into coins. If you buy the right items at the right price, the coins you receive can be worth more than the item and Nature rune cost combined.
The catch is that Grand Exchange prices constantly change.
An item that is profitable today may barely break even tomorrow, which makes knowing what types of items to look for just as important as having a list of specific items.
This guide covers some of the best items to High Alch in OSRS and how to find profitable items yourself.
High Level Alchemy is a spell in the standard spellbook that requires level 55 Magic.
Each cast requires:
5 Fire Runes
1 Nature Rune
Most players equip a Staff of Fire or another source of unlimited Fire Runes, meaning they only need to pay for the Nature Rune.
Each successful cast gives 65 Magic XP and converts the selected item into coins.
Because High Alchemy can be cast roughly once every three seconds, players can potentially alch around 1,200 items per hour.
The most important thing to understand is that an item's High Alchemy value is not based on its current Grand Exchange price.

Ranged is one of the most useful combat styles in Old School RuneScape, giving players powerful options for Slayer, bossing, raids, training, and PvP.
But there isn't one Ranged weapon that's best everywhere.
Some weapons dominate against low-defence monsters, while others become much stronger against bosses with high Defence. Your budget, ammunition, Ranged level, and target all matter.
Here are some of the best Ranged weapons in OSRS and where they shine.
The Magic Shortbow is one of the classic budget Ranged weapons.
It requires 50 Ranged and offers fast attacks without costing a fortune. Adding a Magic Shortbow scroll upgrades it to the Magic Shortbow (i), improving its special attack.
For players progressing through the early and mid game, it's a simple and affordable weapon for general combat and training.
Few weapons are as iconic for account progression as the Rune Crossbow.
Requiring 61 Ranged, it provides access to powerful crossbow bolts and can be paired with a shield.
Its affordability and versatility make it especially popular with Ironmen and players who aren't ready to spend huge amounts on upgrades.
It won't compete with end-game weapons for raw damage, but it offers excellent value.
The Eclipse Atlatl is an unusual Ranged weapon obtained from Perilous Moons.
Unlike most Ranged weapons, its...

Old School RuneScape is built around RNG.
Sometimes you get the drop on your first kill.
Other times you can spend hundreds of hours chasing the exact same item without ever seeing it.
Most players know about rare drops like boss pets and expensive weapons, but some OSRS rewards have odds so ridiculous that seeing one can become a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Here are five of the rarest and most famous drops you can chase in OSRS.
Boss pets are some of the most recognizable rare drops in OSRS.
Unlike expensive weapons or armour, pets are untradeable. You cannot simply head to the Grand Exchange and buy one.
You actually have to earn the drop yourself.
Many boss pets have base drop rates around:
-1/2,000
-1/3,000
-1/5,000
Depending on the boss and activity, the exact rate can vary.
That means even players with thousands of boss kills can sometimes go dry without receiving the pet they want.
Getting one extremely early is one of the biggest RNG flexes in OSRS.
The Dragon Warhammer became famous partly because of how painful the grind could be.
For years, players hunting Lizardman Shamans had to deal with an extremely low chance of receiving one.
This was especially brutal for Ironman accounts because the Dragon Warhammer is an incredibly useful PvM weapon and could not simply be purchased from another player.
Its special attack reduces an...

Making GP on an Ironman in Old School RuneScape is completely different from a normal account.
You can't rely on selling your drops to other players through the Grand Exchange. Instead, Ironmen need methods that generate raw coins, valuable High Alchemy items, or resources that save GP later.
Here are some of the best ways to make GP as an Ironman throughout the early, mid, and late game.
Thieving is one of the easiest ways for an early Ironman to build a cash stack.
Ardougne Knights are a popular option once you have the required Thieving level. Pickpocketing them provides consistent coins while also giving useful Thieving XP.
As your level increases and you fail less often, the method becomes much more convenient.
The Agility Pyramid is a classic early-game Ironman money maker.
Complete the pyramid, collect the pyramid top, and exchange it for 10,000 GP.
It provides both Agility XP and raw GP without requiring expensive equipment, making it particularly useful when your account is still developing.
Giants' Foundry is another useful option because it combines Smithing XP with GP.
Players create giant swords using metal bars or suitable equipment and receive coins and other rewards based on their performance.
For Ironmen with metal sitting in the bank, Giants' Foundry can be an efficient way to turn...
